Your Specialized Veterinary Dental Team in Scottsdale, AZ

Krystle Chester - Practice Manager

Krystle was born in New Mexico and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, with her mother at a young age. After graduating from Greenway High School in 2003, she attended Apollo College and earned her certification as a Veterinary Assistant in 2004. Krystle’s career began in 2005 at a busy five-doctor general practice in central Phoenix. Just a year later, Krystle joined the team of Dr. Chris Visser, a renowned veterinarian and Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental CollegeTM. Over the 16 years dedicated to her role as a veterinary dental technician, Krystle has gained extensive experience, with career opportunities spanning dentistry training and practice management. Outside of work, Krystle enjoys natural light photography, hiking, and cheering on her favorite football teams. She treasures time spent with her three children—Natalaie, Adrien, and Ysobel—and their beloved cats.

Ricardo Perez - Practice Manager

Born and raised in South Phoenix, Ricardo is an Arizona native who has always had a passion for learning—especially in math and science. After graduating high school in 2017, he explored different paths, taking classes at Arizona State University while considering his options. His career direction became clear when a friend, a certified veterinary assistant, shared how rewarding the veterinary field could be. After hearing that, Ricardo knew that was what he needed to do.

Ricardo quickly jumped on the opportunity to earn his Veterinary Assistant Certificate from Carrington College and began his career in general veterinary practice. Two years later, Ricardo was introduced to the specialty field of veterinary dentistry. Seeing firsthand how dentistry and oral surgery could dramatically improve animals’ health and quality of life sparked his passion for the field, where he has been dedicated ever since.

Outside of work, Ricardo is an avid fan of playing and watching sports. He’s a proud supporter of Arizona teams, especially the Arizona Cardinals and Phoenix Suns. He enjoys attending live games whenever he can. At home, Ricardo loves spending time with his three pugs—Enzo, Ellie, and Petunia—while relaxing with movies and TV shows.

Kelsey - Veterinary Technician

Kelsey was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2013, she moved to Flagstaff, and in 2016 graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor’s of Science. Passionate about giving back to her community, Kelsey has volunteered at animal rescues and wildlife rehabilitation centers since the age of 13, with her journey working with animals beginning with working at a shelter in 2017. She began working at a general practice veterinary clinic in 2022 and hasn’t looked back since. She has always enjoyed dentistry for small animals and is eager to provide high-quality veterinary medical care without compromise. Her technical skill with animals and desire to help educate pet parents has found an ideal home at Raintree Dentistry & Oral Animals.

Kelsey owns 3 fluffy rescue dogs, Nimbus, Effie, and Leo, who get anything they want and need. She is outdoorsy, enjoys gardening, hiking with her dogs, camping, cooking/baking, and crafting. She has a free spirit and is endlessly curious about ecology and biology. Having traveled to 12 different countries and 25 states, she is always planning her next adventure to a new place with a goal of seeing the most biodiverse ecosystems around the world.

Kelsey is currently in school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician and is excited to continue advancing her career. She loves learning about the science behind veterinary medicine and has a “one-day” goal of becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician Specialist.

Ashley Abbott - Certified Veterinary Technician

Ashley is an Arizona native who has called the Phoenix area home her whole life. Her love for animals started at a young age, so it was no surprise when she jumped into veterinary medicine right after high school as a veterinary assistant. She later graduated from Pima Medical Institute’s Veterinary Technician program and earned her Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license in October 2025.

After spending four years in general practice, Ashley discovered a passion for anesthesia and veterinary dentistry. She loves being part of a team that helps improve pets’ comfort, health, and quality of life, and she enjoys making every visit as stress free as possible for both patients and their families.

Outside of work Ashley enjoys reading a good book, shopping, going to Pilates classes, or spending time with her own fur babies. She feels incredibly lucky to do what she loves every day and is excited to care for your pets like they’re part of her own family.
